Project Overview

BabyWish started with the concept of providing the local mothers with the best quality products for their beloved children. The brand opted for a online store rather than the traditional store in order to cater all the mothers around the country. BabyWish focused on making the shopping process easier for the mothers and delivering high quality products to their doorstep.

The Problem

Even though there are various online marketplaces there aren’t much online shops that delivers baby products and the ones that delivers, does not have enough quality in most of their products.

The Goal

Goal of this project is to create an online platform that specialize in selling quality baby products to the moth- ers in Sri Lanka and build their trust in purchasing online rather than going through all the trouble of shopping at locals stores.

User Research: Summary

The potential user groups included pregnant ladies and mothers who have children below the age of 5. According to the research, we discovered that the entire users can be divided into 2 main groups, pregnant ladies and the mothers. Pregnant ladies are again 2 types, first pregnancy and the second or third pregnancy.

The main issues the research discovered that the pregnant mothers have are going to the local stores and finding good quality products. This category emphasised that with the pregnancy, it is hard to go to various shops in order to find all the products they need.

The research also found that mothers who have small children have the same issue going to the stores with their children it troublesome. Specially after the pandemic, mothers try their best to keep the children at home and when trying to do that, most of them could not find someone to leave their baby with.

All the categories suggested that it would be great if they can find an online store that delivers their orders whom they can trust with the quality of the products.
